His dedication to community engagement is demonstrated by his service on several non-profit boards and as a regional reviewer for the Canadian Volunteer Awards (CVA), which honor the efforts of volunteers, organizations and businesses in fostering community development.
As a former business owner and principal of MarkNat Business Consulting, Lee leveraged his entrepreneurial acumen in management consulting. His commitment to public service is exemplified by his tenure as a City Councillor for Ville de Léry where he chaired the Municipal Planning Advisory Committee (Comité Consultatif d’Urbanisme) and represented the city on the Transport Committee.
A founding member of Quebec’s first CARP chapter, Lee actively promotes opportunities for individuals aged 45 and older to take on leadership positions, volunteer, and drive community improvement. His passion for entrepreneurship and volunteerism led to a nationally broadcast appearance on a Business News Network panel, where he shared insights on these topics.
Currently, Lee serves as the executive board secretary of CEDEC (Community
Economic Development and Employability Corporation). Through CEDEC’s Mature Workers Initiative, he champions the inclusion of experienced individuals in leadership and decision-making roles, encouraging them to contribute their time, expertise, and knowledge to strengthen communities.
